I had a lateral thigh trainer and I used it faithfully every day for 45 minutes to an hour. Loved it! I didn't really lose weight but it toned me up and I lost inches. It did start to make noises and after using it more than a year it broke. I never bought another one, but I miss using it.

Not a machine I use daily but great for toning. Completely free of noise. Did not have problems with locking but perhaps I was lucky.

Once I got it home and assemled it the peddles would not work and were locked. I followed the instruction on how to unlock them and that didn't work.
Worse of all the customer service number is disconnected and the e-mail and website listed in their manual won't help becasue it doesn't give you a current number.
I wished I had read the reviews before I bothered to get it. It was a waist of time, a waist of energy and frustrating because there was no one to contact.

At first I really liked this. Then after having it for a month it stopped counting correctly as well as leaving oil and residue on my carpet. I finally just stopped using it.

I liked this item at first, but noticed it was not keeping an accurate step count, which is bad for me because I log my workouts and need to include the step count for step machines. The final straw was the tension adjuster just kept breaking off (not just unscrewing...actually broke apart) We exchanged it and the next one the chain broke. The link just snapped in half. The third one, we just took because we had to do an even exchange. The step counter was innaccurate so we completely exchanged it for the Mini Stepper (which was even worse).

well, i bought my LTT about 3 weeks ago and i wasn't happy with it at first. it wasn't a very quiet machine and that was quite annoying. but i lubricated it with olive oil for a few days and it seems to be ok now. i bought it to help me lose the final 15 pounds of post pregnancy weight and after 3 weeks of using to LTT everyday for 15-20 minutes, I have lost 7 pounds!!! I have not been doing any other workouts, but i will today begin a workout to help trim my waistline and tone my abs. i have lost a slight amount of weight from the waistline, but the LTT isn't really meant for toning your abs. overall I'm happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.

I bought my LTT about a year ago to help get rid of the baby fat I had gained from my pregnancy. I used it 6 days a week for 30 min. and also used 5 lb. free weights while using the machine. It started squeking about three months after I bought it but it wasn't too much of an annoyance with the TV on however, the chain has broken four times already and the hook that connects the chain has now broken. I only weigh 156 pounds, so I can't be the problem. My husband has fixed it everytime that it has broke but when the hook that connects the chain broke last night, my husband suggested buying something else because it is becoming time consuming and costly to fix this machine every other day (literally).
I would say spend your money on something else, although heavy, the gears and chain construction is not good.
